Youth witness around the Cross in Canberra city.

This morning the Cross and Icon were taken to ABC radio for the breakfast program. Some local youth were interviewed alongside the Archbishop, Mark Coleridge.

The Cross and Icon then went to St Francis Xavier School in Florey for a short procession, liturgy and time of veneration. Those present were particularly impressed by the way in which the 1600 students participated in veneration.

Later this morning, the Cross and Icon were taken to the Legislative Assembly for a service. We then processed through the city to Garema Place where the Cross and Icon stood in the square over lunchtime for the passing public to see. Local youth chatted to the young people walking past and it was a wonderful opportunity to witness to the power of the Cross.

We then proceeded to the residence of the Papal Nuncio for another short liturgy before heading to the mountains of Jindabyne. Here the parishioners prayed the Stations of the Cross around the church grounds and celebrated Mass.
