Walcha celebrates with the Cross and Icon

Today the Cross and Icon travelled to Walcha. Here we reflected on the Stations of the Cross before celebrating Mass together in the school grounds. I was particularly touched by the young people present and the way they venerated the Cross and Icon.

At Mass we celebrated the feast of St John Bosco who had a very special role in bringing many young people closer to Christ. It was wonderful to celebrate this feast both at the beginning of the school year and within the pilgrimage of the Youth Cross and Icon.

The Cross and Icon were then handed over to representatives from the Southern Deanery and travelled to the parish of Tamworth.
