Today the JCI landed at sunny Glen Innes.An excited crowd welcomed the Cross and Icon on the steps of the Church with prayer and a great rendition of ‘Receive the Power’ by local youth.
The community then processed onto the oval for the Stations of the Cross, more music and lunch before the “Lone Piper” led the procession back to the Church.
Mass with the Cross and Icon was celebrated at 6pm and proceedings finished up with yet another fireworks spectacular by Fr Holy Smoke himself.
The JCI team had a day off today, however Fr Carey shared with us that the Catholic community at Glen Innes were really touched by their time with the Cross & Icon.Dan
