This afternoon we arrived in Forbes after travelling from Hay. On the way we passed through West Wyalong and briefly entered the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn, who aren’t receiving the Cross and Icon till next year. Sorry if we teased any residents of West Wyalong who may have seen our van driving through!
The Cross and Icon were welcomed to Forbes in Victoria Park. The sky was quite cloudy and a light shower sprinkled down on those who had gathered. The rain didn’t last very long, but was welcome nonetheless, as Forbes and the surrounding region are yet another area which desperately needs good soaking rain. A swing band provided entertainment while the crowd dined on sausages and sussed out the Cross and Icon. I was very blessed as my parents and sister made the trip from Canberra to visit me and the Cross and Icon. It was a real privilege to be able to join in with the Forbes locals and my family as we all prayed with the Cross and Icon.
