This evening the Darwin diocese celebrates there final mass with the Cross and icon before it leaves to travel on the Ghan pilgrimage. Many priests had gathered to say mass with Bishop Hurley on this final occasion. (Pictured Right)
The mass was filled with a fantastic mix of culture and prayerful moments with many indigenous dancers doing a great job to really bring the Eucharistic celebration alive.
Though all good things must come to an end, however the end of one thing in this case means the beginning of another and so at the end of mass the cross and icon was passed over from the Darwin representatives to the pilgrims of the Ghan journey.
